Acted for a defendant family member in a reported Singapore High Court dispute involving family assets exceeding S$500 million across multiple jurisdictions, concerning allegations of unauthorised withdrawals, fiduciary breaches and disputes over the characterisation of substantial transfers within a closely held family wealth structure.
Acted on an urgent basis for the beneficiary of the estate of a deceased renowned technopreneur in relation to assets valued at between US$50 million and US$200 million.
Represented and advised a high-net-worth individual and a turnkey education solutions company incorporated in Dubai in relation to disputes arising from a joint venture established in Singapore and India to provide virtual reality ed-tech services. The disputes concerned alleged white-collar offences and breaches of fiduciary duties by directors and other officers of the joint venture company.
Acted for a solicitor in a defamation claim against a former tenant who had refused to vacate the client’s premises following the lawful termination of the tenancy and had made defamatory statements concerning the client.
Obtained a Personal Protection Order for a client in a heavily contested cross-application arising from contentious divorce proceedings.
Acted for a matriarch and her three sons in a family dispute with the patriarch and two other sons concerning three family-run companies with an aggregate value exceeding approximately S$20 million.
Acted for an individual in an application in the Family Justice Courts to be appointed as deputy for her aunt and to revoke a Lasting Power of Attorney made by the aunt. Subsequently acted in proceedings against the former deputy appointed under the Lasting Power of Attorney for conversion and knowing receipt involving approximately S$10 million. Successfully obtained, on an urgent basis, a worldwide Mareva injunction against the defendant.
Acted for an Indonesian national in a claim against an internationally renowned bank concerning losses incurred in respect of holdings with the bank valued at approximately US$2 million.
